Nest’s Prenatal Fitness

Stay active in pregnancy, and enjoy the company of other moms-to-be! Nest’s certified prenatal specialist will guide you through your unique pregnancy, and will promote good health through strength training, flexibility and cardiovascular exercise. Plus, staying active in pregnancy can help you enjoy it while reducing swelling and discomforts. All important for both mom and growing baby!

Baby Rush – Prenatal Education and Support

Prenatal classes designed to provide knowledge to women and their support people, and to help them have a voice regarding their health and the health of their child. Knowledge is empowering. These classes are designed to provide you with confidence and wisdom. Together we explore the full spectrum of pregnancy through to postpartum. Topics include pregnancy (prenatal care, nutrition, exercise, promoting healthy pregnancy), labour and delivery (stages of labour, pain management with and without the use of drugs, techniques for natural progression, medical interventions), healing for mom after baby, feeding baby (focusing mainly on breastfeeding), and early newborn care (diapers, bathing, soothing, etc…). Empower yourself. Trust your strength, your body, and your intuition.

 

Full Prenatal Series (2 hours/week for 6 consecutive weeks)

Topics: healthy pregnancy (nutrition, prenatal care, exercise, comforts of pregnancy), labour and delivery (stages of labour, coping and progression techniques, pain management, medical interventions, owning your voice), postpartum care for mom, feeding baby (focusing on breastfeeding), early newborn care.

Monday May 27 – 6:30pm-8:30pm

Tuesday May 28 – 6:30pm-8:30pm

Tuesday September 17 – 6:30pm-8:30pm

Tuesday November 5 – 6:30pm-8:30pm

Fee: $150 + GST. Fee is per couple and includes a textbook and handouts throughout the series.

Weekend Prenatal Series (4 hour classes x 2 Sundays)

 Topics: labour and delivery (stages of labour, coping and progression techniques, pain management, medical interventions, owning your voice), postpartum care for mom, early newborn care.

Sunday May 26 & Sunday June 2 – 12:30-4:30

Sunday June 9 & Sunday June 16 – 12:30-4:30

Sunday October 20 & Sunday October 27 – 12:30-4:30

Sunday November 10 & Sunday November 17 – 12:30-4:30

Sunday November 24 & Sunday December 1 – 12:30-4:30

Sunday December 8 & Sunday December 15 – 12:30-4:30

Fee: $125 + GST. Fee is per couple and includes a textbook and handouts throughout the series.

Birth Prep Series (2 hours/week for 3 consecutive weeks)

Topics: labour and delivery (stages of labour, coping and progression techniques, pain management, medical interventions, owning your voice).

Private Prenatal Class (4.5 hours, which can be done at one sitting or broken up into 2 sessions)

Topics are your choice, or you may choose to allow Hillery to include topics most often chosen (labour and delivery, breastfeeding, early newborn care, etc…).

Joint private classes are also available! Two couples may choose to do a private, in-home private class together for a reduced fee

Preparing Mom for Baby! (1 hour for 2 consecutive weeks)

This series will prepare the expectant mother for the emotional journey that pregnancy and labour naturally brings. Women face a lot of pressure in today’s society and this pressure can have a big impact on their pregnancy and even on the birth of their child. Together, we will discuss birth plans, expectations, and the many emotions women experience. With these discussions, we will help work through some anxieties and learn how to improve the emotional and physical journey that having a baby brings.

Fee: $30 for 2 week series

Prenatal Yoga

Sari Levitt

All levels of class are aimed to facilitate prenatal health and wellness including: strengthening and stretching, stress release, body and baby awareness, and general prenatal and labour education.

  • Start any time you feel ready. If concerned, speak to your health care provider before starting.
  • All props provided. Mats available if required.

Fee:  6 week series $70. Also useable with drop in or with class passes. We encourage you to purchase and attend the “series” however to allow your instructor to follow your progress safely.

Please have your care provider complete Parmed X Pregnancy Form.
